As the director of EDA’s interior design practice, Evan has over three decades experience designing and managing interior projects. Since joining EDA in 1997, he has designed many award-winning interiors, including the corporate headquarters for Skullcandy, Maverik, Weave and Lucid Software. Evan does more than simply meet his clients’ needs ¬– he designs inspiring workplaces that elevate company culture, attract and retain talent and tell a company’s story.
As EDA President and Director of Design, Bob guides the firm’s design philosophy of Utah Modernism. He has earned a reputation crafting regionally relevant projects whose local materiality, structural expression and celebration of natural light create a meaningful sense of place. Bob’s commitment to design excellence extends across a wide range of project types, leading to recognition by the AIA Committee on Architecture for Education, the AIA Academy of Architecture for Justice, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and AIA150 Blueprint for America. He currently serves on the University of Utah College of Architecture and Planning Advisory Board; Utah Center for Architecture Board of Directors; Preservation Utah Board of Trustees; Treehouse Museum; and the Ogden Planning Commission.
As the director of EDA’s higher education practice, Stephanie has led the design and construction of state-of-the-art education and research environments across the Intermountain West. Since joining EDA in 1997, her expertise as a designer, facilitator and consensus-builder has guided several award-winning projects for the University of Utah, including the L.S. Skaggs Pharmacy Research Building, the Beverly Taylor Sorenson Arts and Education Building and the Crocker Science Center.
Tom is EDA’s managing principal and leads our civic design practice. Combining rational analysis, community input and extensive experience in public and government projects, Tom creates functional designs that harmonize with their local environment. Since joining EDA in 1996, he’s designed and managed award-winning civic buildings throughout the Intermountain West, including the Spanish Fork Justice Center and Herriman City Library.
Since joining EDA in 2005, Amanda has led the design and documentation for many tenant improvement projects, helping clients create inviting, functional and professional spaces that reflect their brand. As an interiors associate, Amanda’s areas of expertise include tenant improvements, building common area upgrades and BOMA analyses.
Amelia joined EDA in 2003 as a commercial interior designer. She supports the design team by managing meetings, the EDA resource library and industry representative relationships.
Since joining EDA in 2011, Amanda has led successful interior design work in several types of commercial projects, including corporate office, civic and higher education. Angela uses her education and experience to approach interior design with a holistic view – focusing on the basis that “form follows function” to fulfill her client’s functional and aesthetic needs for their space.
Angelica brings over 30 years of expertise in project design, management and document development to EDA. Her coordination with architectural and consultant teams, stakeholders and authorities ensures high-quality, accurate drawings that minimize field issues. Since joining EDA in 2017, she’s played a pivotal role in projects such as the Fairbourne Station Office Tower, the Applied Science Building at the University of Utah, the master plan and phased upgrade of the Henry Eyring Chemistry Building at the University of Utah and many more.
Dixon translates conceptual design into plans – from the owner’s vision to a final built product. Born and raised in Hong Kong, he has a unique understanding of how place and culture inform design and uses his experience to think creatively about design challenges and solutions.
A senior associate at EDA, Jake has over 30 years of experience in project management, standards, contracts and construction administration. Since joining EDA in 2001, Jake has managed a variety of project types including public and private, athletics, sports stadiums, recreation, aquatics, commercial, interior tenant build-out, food service and other various projects.
Jennifer manages and assists with project design, documentation and coordination. Since joining EDA in 2007, she’s built a reputation for combining industry knowledge and technical ability with a passion for proactive problem-solving, often anticipating issues before they arise. Jennifer has led the BIM modeling and construction document coordination of many award-winning projects, including West Valley City Municipal Courts, the Beverely Taylor Sorensen Arts and Education Building at the University of Utah, Sweetwater County Justice Center and more.
Kevin develops technical drawings and construction details and works with EDA’s design architects and contractors to support project delivery. Since joining EDA in 2015, Kevin has contributed to civic and cultural projects such as the Weber County Main and North Branch Library renovations, the Sweetwater County Justice Center Expansion and the Real Salt Lake Training Facility.
Lexie joined EDA Architects as an Interior Designer and is currently pursuing her NCIDQ certification. With a background in nursing and a passion for psychology, Lexie brings a unique perspective to design, integrating an understanding of human behavior into functional, inclusive spaces. Since relocating to Utah in 2021, she has embraced the opportunity to expand her skills, developing thoughtful design concepts that meet clients' needs. Outside of work, Lexie enjoys spending time with her puppy, exploring the outdoors, and pursuing hobbies like 3D modeling, puzzles, reading, camping and skiing.
Logan is an Architectural Designer born and raised in the Mountain West, where he loves exploring our unique landscapes. He aspires to create designs that harmonize with their surroundings and draws inspiration from traveling and studying architectural design in places ranging from Italy to Utah’s Four Corners area.
Matthew contributes to the accuracy, detail and craft of EDA projects through 3D BIM modeling, drafting and construction documentation. Since joining EDA in 2015, he has focused on projects in civic and higher education, including the West Valley Police Headquarters, University of Utah Alumni House and University of Utah Crocker Science Center.
As a member of the EDA marketing team, Nate develops and manages content that champions EDA and Utah Modernism through visual and narrative storytelling. Nate also coordinates EDA’s competitive pursuits, working closely with team leadership and technical staff to craft a unique strategy for each new opportunity.
Nick’s interest in European art, architecture and history combine with his modern architectural training to add an informed level of design and problem-solving to every project. Having been recognized by several awards for excellence in design, Nick applies his place-based design approach to ensure each project reflects its contextual environment. His team-oriented approach includes embracing the latest design technologies to communicate concepts to clients, the public and EDA’s entire design team.
Since joining EDA in 2007, Sam has built expertise in public sector projects that involve complex programs, assemblages and solutions. Recently, Sam has managed the design and construction of two libraries for Weber County Library System – one of which included the renovation of a mid-century modern landmark – and guided the Sweetwater County Justice Center complex from conceptual design through construction.
Samira was born and raised in northern Iran, a region celebrated for its rich literary heritage; including the works of Persian poets Hafez and Rumi. Growing up in that region ingrained in her a passion for creativity. This passion is demonstrated professionally through innovative problem-solving and embracing design solutions that expand the limits of her creativity. Creative pursuits in graphic design, painting and 3D art as well as continuing interest in studying history also serve to inform her architectural design approach. Beginning her design career in 2012 in Iran, she has since provided solutions for projects on four continents. Her experience and studies allow Samira to apply a unique international perspective on each project.
Sydney guides tenant improvement projects from early schematic design through construction documents, project management and construction. Since joining EDA in 2014, she has focused on designing unique and functional spaces that not only meet her clients’ day-to-day needs but positively contribute to their company culture and image. She has led the design and project management of multiple tenant improvement projects across Utah, including headquarters and offices for iSolved, Vista Staffing and Google Fiber.
Teric brings a background in manufacturing and product development to EDA. As part of the administrative staff, he plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, handling communications and providing support to the architectural team.
Theresa joined EDA in 2018, bringing 28 years of experience in office and business administration. In managing EDA’s accounts, she helps ensure that EDA’s projects remain on time and on budget throughout every phase of design and construction.
A marketing professional since 1992, and active in the AEC industry since 2003, Tim leads the development and management of our marketing, business / market development and pursuit strategies.
