Working closely with founder/president and other board members the goal was to create a healing environment to inspire hope and create a positive impact through education, advocacy, and social awareness. The project enhances the user experience through the use of muay thai/yoga studios, auditorium/presentation spaces, photo/video studios, podcast rooms, library and therapy rooms. Increased natural light at the atrium allows for a bright welcoming atmosphere accented by warm custom white oak ceilings creating uniformity and visual sense of place throughout the common areas.
“I love all the lighting–from the natural light streaming in through the windows to the soft light in all the conference rooms. Lighting is so key to making a space welcoming and cozy. I never thought I could describe an office space as cozy! I feel so spoiled, and it truly impacts how I work. I feel more energy and focus because of my surroundings. Thank you”!
“So much attention was given to the design aesthetics and I specifically love that it feels like a really fancy HOME and not a cold boring work place. It is welcoming, and comfortable. It really is such an amazing gift. Love it, love it”.
“I am so grateful for the time and effort that went into this building. The lighting, decor, and the inviting/safe space. It represents everything we are about: healing, safety, self-care. Its amazing to have a building that matches our cause. I was floored when I first walked into this building. I love this space! It is so open, bright, warm, and peaceful. I am grateful for the break area. I love it’s location right off the elevator. It feels like walking into someone’s kitchen or home rather than a utility closet”.
“The new building is beautiful. It certainly is reflective of the Maxfield’s commitment to our cause and of an organization that wants to be world-class”.
